Christian Pulisic is set to sign a new long-term contract with AC Milan that will keep the United States international at San Siro until June 2031, according to multiple reports. ESPN, citing sources, reports that the 28-year-old has agreed the deal and that an official announcement is expected in the next few days, while Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta dello Sport report the same: an agreement has been reached and the player will sign in the coming days. The news was first reported by ESPN on Wednesday morning, and the Italian reports followed within hours.
Pulisic’s current contract runs out in June 2027, although Milan hold an option to extend it by a further season. The new deal would therefore tie him to the club for four more years beyond that. According to Gazzetta, the winger will earn €5 million per season plus add-ons, up from the €4 million he earns now, and Milan plan to announce the extension shortly. The club’s directors and owner Gerry Cardinale have been pushing for a new agreement for months.
The deal would reward a player who has become central to Milan since joining from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, for a fee reported by ESPN at around €22 million. Pulisic has scored 44 goals in 141 appearances for the Rossoneri, adding 28 assists, and he finished as the club’s top scorer in the 2024-25 season. Gazzetta reports that Cardinale sees the American as essential to Milan’s present and future, while head coach Ruben Amorim has helped convince him to stay: the pair share the same footballing vision, and Amorim has won Pulisic over by deploying him closer to goal.
Pulisic would be the second Milan player in a fortnight to commit his future until 2031. Less than two weeks ago, the club confirmed a new contract for defender Strahinja Pavlović, also running to 2031, and Pulisic is next in line to extend his stay at San Siro.
The formal signing and the club announcement are expected in the coming days, according to the reports. The announcement would bring to an end months of negotiations over the future of one of Milan’s most important attacking players. Until Milan confirm it, the deal remains an agreement in principle — but all sides now expect Pulisic to stay at San Siro until 2031.
